Watching Kendo

Tamaki of Bamboo Blade

Finally went to watch a kendo class with my mom today, and just got back a while ago. It felt great to see real kendo right before my eyes.

I was excited, but overly nervous too. Even as I was just outside the Japan Club, I started to feel butterflies in my stomach.

Outside the Japan Club

Once we found the kendo room(dojo?), I was a little afraid of entering ^^; Just looking at the kendo practitioners was intimidating me.

Watching them was very exciting, and I learned much more about kendo. It's definitely lots of hard work and requires dedication, so I figure I'm gonna have to build up my stamina, since it's about level 0.

I hope to join the kendo class soon, but will have to find out a little more details and get parent's approval first. ^^;

One of my favorite kendo videos:

BTW- would like to thank Mindless Ramble for giving me guides on what to do when I get there, and for answering my questions. You really saved me!

And in case you were wondering, I did NOT get into kendo because of Bamboo Blade.

Hope you are able to learn & practise Kendo. Truth be told, I always think how cool it looks ^^.

Doing Kendo is so cool.. But you need patience before you strike the enemy which I do not have.. -_-"

@Lanie-emon, thanks. I hope I'll be able to take the classes too ^^; Currently, the mokuso (meditation) is posing a bit of a problem, as my parent's are worried about it..

@Asuka, XD It also demands lots of stamina, focus, and quick reflexes- all of which I do not have. orz
I'm just a weak otaku~!
