As Malaysians would know, today is the independence day of Malaysia. It's our "51st birthday" today (well, birthday in a way)!
To celebrate this occasion, there were fireworks and countdowns held at several major locations (such as KLCC). And this afternoon, there was the usual parade held at the Dataran Merdeka (Independence Square).
Well, I think Malaysia still has a long way to go in terms of politics and government, but it's a rather nice country to live in, and I'm proud to be part of it.
All I did today was stay at home though. LOL.
So anyway, to all Malaysians, I wish you a Selamat Hari Merdeka! (Happy Independence day!)

Malaysia was formed on September 16, 1963.
August 31, 1957 was the independence of Malaya from the British.
Malaysia is not 51 years old.
